Tropi

Tropi was born on the edges of Earth and Shadow, which granted him the elemental magic of the Earthshaker and a love of moonlight and shadows from Shadowbinder. His parents were both powerful mages in the clan and taught him everything they knew. Being a hatchling, Tropi often stumbled over his spells and caused unintended chaos in the clan during his practice sessions. Of course, being a small dragon also meant that his mess-ups were easy enough to control and fix. Still, these accidents never deterred him from wanting to become as great as his parents and through studying and more training he began to grow stronger and more confident in his abilities.
As he grew up, Tropi decided it was time to leave his birth clan and head into Earth territory where his magic aligned with the magic of the area. He hoped that with time this would help build his strength and perhaps he’d be able to teach others to become stronger as well with their magic. He easily made friends with a clan lead by two imperials and was soon invited to join the clan officially as a mage. Tropi was happy to put his magic into healing and protecting the peaceful clan when the need arose while spending his free time basking in the shade or teaching younger dragons how to use their magic.
Then one day Vespana showed up. Tropi had heard her story when she’d arrived at the clan and was quick to boost her spirits about using magic over brute strength. The two began to spend more and more time together as he helped her adjust to being away from Ice and helped her become less ashamed that she preferred magic to heal and fight rather than strength. It took a while for her to adjust to the looser life style of his clan but with his encouragement she began opening up to her new life. Eventually the pair became mates; Tropi was thrilled to share his life with her.
Together they act as the mages for the clan and share the duties of healing, fighting, and teaching other magically inclined dragons to use their abilities. However the clan is usually peaceful and the pair are lying around the lair in their free time. On the occasion Tropi will take his mate out on bright moonlit nights to fly around and stare up at the stars. Despite the varying shades of brown during the day, Tropi finds the land beneath them a wonderful shade of red and orange during sunset and an even prettier shade of purple and blue at night. On clear nights the pair may even dance together. According to Vespana he’s got the natural born grace of a skydancer but Tropi is usually too humble to accept the compliment and blushes whenever she brings it up.
