Xzavier just wandered into the Glade after vicious winds following the last day of the Flameforger's Festival. He was dazed and confused as he was with a traveling group when the winds tore through the Ashfall Wastes, he was covered in ash despite having been soaked in snow. Shiro took him in for the time being. He gave him a warm bath and a hot meal. Once the young dragon recovered his strength and stood before all four leaders was he granted permission to stay. He couldn't really leave anyway as his wings were mangled by dense thorns on the other side of the territory. When asked how he managed to even find the Sanctuary Xzavier said that he followed a trail of green. No one else had come across this 'trail of green' so many were wary except for the Nature born, for they knew Mother had led him here. He adorned himself with clothing to cover his scars as he was getting pitied stares. He hated it. Yet he was new and foreign, with only Shiro eager to approach him. But he itched to prove himself, to show he wasn't just an odd Dancer with no place. That was when he approached Runewing as she is the top fighter. 'Teach me' he demanded but his voice quivered, she thought it was cute so she agreed as long as he fought without the coat. He isn't good at fighting, got a few more scars from their sessions before Runewing saw he is better at defensive fighting than taking on an opponent. She changed her teaching suddenly during one training session, becoming aggressive and aiming to be the offense opponent. He did much better deflecting her blows and rolling with the strikes. By the end both were tired, dirty but there was a fire in their eyes. He was a perfect match for her, fighting wise and temperament. While Runewing burned like a raging fire Xzavier is a grounding force with his level headed approach and soft speaking. They compliment and complete one another. He tends to watch her train, sitting neatly on the sidelines and watching her trainee. He'd give pointers and demonstrations of defensive moves once the training finished. Xzavier's wings ached. They were torn beyond usage, beyond any hope of usage ever again. He grit his teeth as he walked through the Sanctuary. Stares followed him, quiet whispers met his ears, and on occasional dragon weakly called out a greeting that was so soaked in pity it made his stomach revolt. He hated the looks he was getting. Something caught his eye and he turned and looked at it. It was a bolt of blue fabric. His wings twitched, and someone muttered something, and he walked towards the fabric. |
