In the Summer Country, beautiful glass is more valuable than spice or steel. A gifted apprentice with a talent for weaving illusions into his works, Lievran is best known for his invention of decorative glass orbs that seem to trap and reflect different weather patterns in their surfaces. The ones that contain snow-squalls are especially popular among Valari children, as most of them have never seen snow in their lives. His finest works grace the halls of the Chapel of Light, casting the congregation in rainbow hues, while his spun-glass thread and delicate beads find their way into the works of the clan's tailors. He can be found hawking his wares each week at the City Market, occasionally traveling to other Light clans to promote his business, though it's rumored that more customers are drawn by his charms than those of his works- the glassweaver of Val-ar-Aion is himself a famous beauty. Famously sharp-tongued, too- it is no secret that Lievran is one of the Matriarch's harshest critics, his larger works often referencing instances of Noc's rule that she would prefer the world forgot.
