kani's personal guard. he looks up to her as one would a goddess. she had saved him as a hatchling, and he reveres her because of that- he would give his life for her. suffers from violent, self-destructive impulses- he had ripped out his own throat as a hatchling, and was narrowly saved from death. because of that, he is mute, and unable to produce mucus for his pearl. he communicates via sign language, and on the rare occasion he has to talk to pomegranate, magic words in the air.
