A kindly old fellow, Richmond is a retired chef, his bakery in the Abiding Boneyard having closed some time ago to allow him to enjoy his golden years. He especially loves hatchlings, his dawn-till-dusk work in the past having kept him from raising a family of his own. He loves entertaining them with wild, probably-mostly-made-up stories for hours on end.

What few actually know, though, is that Richmond is also a retired sorcerer. (It's not something he attempts to hide, but doesn't talk about it much unless asked.) There was a great deal of magic in his family, and he was born with an admirable natural aptitude for enchanting. However, he was never moved to use his powers for battle like his mother, or personal gain like his siblings. Nonetheless, if a Clanmate was down with a nasty cold, they'd always swear by Richmond's soup for getting them back to full health in record time.

After the first shadow attack, the hatchlings of the lair were moved to a safer area. Richmond gladly took up the position of their caretaker, and Billy and Scottie soon followed.
