Born from her mother's cauldron, Persephone is, in a sense, an artificial dragon. With an incredible mastery over light, and an almost inherent wisdom, she is a powerful force to be reckoned with. Upon leaving her own clan out of a desire to see where her unnatural life could take her, she found a place in Deazal's inner circle. Valued for her objective views and vast knowledge, she is not to be trifled with and has gained the respect and friendship of the clan leader.

Persephone is uncertain if it is derived from her strange birth, but her own emotional capacity is greatly diminished, something that has allowed her to remain objective and neutral in most conflicts, she has, however, found that her time with Deazal's clan has caused her emotions to surface more strongly. She is a wise, adamant individual, constantly seeking greater knowledge and understanding, and though her morals and ethics are, at times, skewed from the norm, she is a fierce and loyal protector of those she holds close.

Persephone is usually seen in the company of her familiar, a celestial antelope named Saviesa. Despite being in the presence of so many large dragons who might consider her food, Saviesa always seems calm in Persephone's presence and the skydancer has made it clear the antelope is not food.
