Leading was never his intent. It was in his blood. From the moment he came to join the Clan of Lucent Ridge, when it was still young and naive, he could see it's potential. And whether he liked it or not, he was going to be the one to help bring that untapped potential out. It was a slow process, but even at the unreadable pace the change was taking place with, some dragon began to notice. Antiquity, the Clan's original self-proclaimed leader, was not pleased. Her leadership was something many dragons questioned already, and she wasn't going to allow some Shadowborn take it from her.

Antiquity demanded the young imperial be exiled, claiming she had evidence of treason. Her accusations shook the whole of the Clan. No dragon dare stood between her and the ruddy imperial; all nearly watched as the skydancer challenged Mimic. Challenged him to fight her accusations; snapping her jaws at him. Her plan was to get him to strike first, to further her "evidence" and push her lairmates into agreeing with her that this monster must leave. What she couldn't see, however, was the monster everyone was seeing was her herself. Even those who had once stood brave alongside her now watch this paranoid husk of a dragon threaten a loyal dragon. Alannah and Navale were the first to stand beside Mimic, and one after one the others followed until Antiquity saw what she had done. She had driven her Clan members into Mimic's talons herself. Defeated, she submitted as the Council decided what fate would be suited for her. In the end, despite her mistakes and ill-thought ways, Mimic was the one to decide she would go to serve the Lightweaver.
It was a rocky beginning that lead to a brilliant period in the Clan's history. Mimic was declared to be the Clan's Overseer, making sure things stayed orderly and each dragon's needs were sought to. The title was his own doing, as being "leader" seemed demeaning to others. They each were they're own dragon, who could do as they pleased.
In the next few moons Mimic decided to take Tiru and Piccadilly along in a journey to conquer and train in the Coliseum, and the trio became the only from Lucent Ridge to fight valiantly in the Kelp Beds and Golem Workshop.
Lucent Ridge Clan has become his pride and joy. He devotes all of his time to serving and protecting it, and prays he may continue to do so for many ages to come.

Wishlist - One of the less glorious jobs of being Overseer is taking note of everyone's personal needs..
