To fully expand the Lair to 215 spaces costs 30,795,000 (no dom discount). Gem slots for the HDen total 5,000g. At an average cost of 100k per the final brew I have spent at least 37,300,000 on Baldwin genes this year.

Baldwin came out June 8, 2015 and while I'm prepping for his anniversary I had some mathy thoughts.
I've been obsessed with this guy since he came out so I'm melting down more than 25 things a day. With 25 as my minimum I'm sinking between 375t (food) and 62,500t (familiars) in treasure every day. I spend about 5 days every month melting familiars or a yearly dump of 3,750,000 in familiars I could have hoardsold.
That means Baldwin has consumed at least 4,375 familiars or 10,937,500 in hoardsell value not counting the ridiculous amount of familiars I transmuted the first couple of wild months when everyone was frantically trying to get copper muck for festival currency or the loga.
I've made a few dozen genes, piles of apparel, all the familiars, eggs and all the various transmutes needed to make them. All of those cost treasure--not a lot but the genes add up quickly.
Fully expanding a lair out to 200 spaces costs 27,270,000 treasure. By now I think I've dumped more treasure and hoardsell values into Baldwin than I've spent on lair expansions.

One final thing on profit; verify what the cost of an item you're brewing sells for vs. the materials plus time. I haven't done the math in a while but here's my general thought process for all things Baldwin.
How much do the ingredients sell for vs. how much the final product sells for? Assuming you're buying everything at current LAH and sold for about the average festival currency cost during the festival (half a gem in the forums):
10g (half a gem per festival currency) - 2g per familiar - 3g per apparel = 5g profit per 2 hours and 50 minutes of brewing.
Current treasure price for familiar transmutes: 4999/9000/8500 = average 6,524t
Current treasure price for apparel transmutes: 7890/13800/11000 = average 9,243t
Profit per 2.5 hours of transmuting familiars (1:1500 ratio of g:t) = 36,620 - 15,000 = 21,620 (14g)
Profit per 2.5 hours of transmuting apparel (same ratio) = 46,215 - 22,500 = 23,715 (15g)
Of course, that only works if you can get to Baldwin every 30 or so minutes. I generally only brew an item if I'm going to be away for longer than an hour because the average profit on transmutes generally outstrips the profit on what you make...unless it's months later and the recipe isn't available but people still want the item or it's suddenly needed for a new Baldwin recipe.
