Biography
They say greed is one of the seven deadly sins. It is material-less, and yet can over and consume everything in its path. To be the objectification of greed is to live as a sin.
Such was the life of Ramus, the Golden statue. He was born as a result of a bit of magic colliding with gold dust. Right from the start, he was full of greed and proclaimed everything to be his.
He found himself on a little planet, inhabited by many dragons. He deemed himself ruler of the planet, and demanded the inhabitants pay him. When they refused, he demonstrated his monstrous power with just a swipe of his tail.
For you see, this planet had seen no Imperials in its life time. Ramus was the first, and he was the meanest. Should one dragon not pay tribute, everyone would pay.
The people feared Ramus, and they gave him everything they had. Gold, gems, valuables, even priceless family heirlooms. All to keep him satisfied.
He ruled over for nearly two hundred long years before a group of mages, wizards and witches formed and sought to destroy him.
Of course, they were no match for him.
And thus began a yearly tradition of selecting magically-talented dragons and sending them off to try their luck at getting rid of Ramus.
To the big gold brute, it was all laughable. No dragon could defeat him! How could they? As the years sped by, the mages became smarter. Stronger. Learning new spells. One such spell popped off one of his gorgeous scales!
But that spell began something. The scale was brought back and the spell was studied. Wizards began to experiment with it. They tested out every possible theory. Every combination that was possible, was put to the test. And then, they got it.
Meanwhile, more and more mages were sent to their deaths. And Ramus' coloration began to darken. His greed was leading to corruption. His once beautiful scales now turned a dark, ominous purple color. With each passing day, he grew more powerful.

It was a simple Tundra mage that now stood before him. He laughed in both disgust and amusement. This was his challenger? Pathetic! Several taunts were thrown. His challenger simply stood there and took it.
Ramus now had enough of this. He swung his large tail, aiming to swipe the dragon off his feet. But his tail simply went through the dragon, as if it were an apparition. This was not new to him. He laughed again and let out a steaming jet of water in all directions. But to no avail.
The Tundra, now above him, had the advantage while Ramus frantically searched. It was over in a few seconds. The spell the Tundra cast hit Ramus like a freight train. His body stiffened and refused to move. He tried to clamber up to grab his attacker. But he was too slow. Maw open, Ramus tried to snap his jaws closed around the Tundra. But he could not move.
He was frozen solid, into a golden statue.
Ramus was no more.

The spell is set to break in 100 years. Dragons were able to come and collect their belongings. Ramus' hoard became a bank of sorts, closely guarded by a number of powerful warriors to ensure no dragon would take more than they needed.
Ramus is still alive. He can see everything. His hoard is slowly being stolen back. He trembles once in a while, as if to try to break free.
74 years remain.
