Well, teleporting should be put to use somewhere... Hm. Maybe... your clan can just use her as a telephone. She carries important messages from the hunting party (that she travels with, but is not a part of) back to the clan and so forth. She's basically just there for emergencies, but one should be prepared.

Droplet grew up in a small water clan near the border between Water and Light. Although she was just one out of many Droplets, when she was born her parents had quite the handful. This Droplet had a habit of vanishing. Or rather, she had an uncontrollable power of teleportation. At first it was just a few feet, usually somewhere within a short eyesight range. Her parents thought they were going crazy at first, she'd be in one place one moment and one blink later she's in a different spot. As she grew older her range increased as well, and in just a few weeks she was able to teleport full dragon-lengths.

One day, she overheard some clan members talking to her parents about her ability. They weren't happy about how random things were. Her teacher complained about her disappearing from class, neighbors complained about her occasional unannounced visits, and some other dragons were just complaining saying her powers made her a bad omen. It wasn't meant for her to hear, but that didn't make it hurt any less. She knew she had to do something, she felt bad about her parents receiving all these complaints. So she started practicing. It was hard, mostly because up until now her teleportations had been completely random. She had no idea how to even begin, but every day after school she would go to the nearby reef and practice.

After weeks passed with no success, and having to deal with bullies mocking her ability, she went to the reef to vent her frustrations. She sat there crying for a bit, then in a small fit of anger she lashed out at a nearby piece of coral. But her claws met with... Nothing? The force of her swipe not hitting anything made her spin and fall onto the coral beneath her feet... No wait, this isn't coral... She opened her eyes confused. "W-where am I??"

"Where on Sorneith did you come from?!" A voice from nearby exclaimed. Droplet looked around and saw a Wildclaw standing warily a few paces away. Wait, standing... On grass? Droplet looked down and saw she was on grass too. What is going on? "Hey, I'm talking to you!" She looked back up and the Wildclaw was now towering over her. "I said, where did you come from? How did you get here?" She stared up at it, eyes wide with fear. Then, suddenly, she was looking up at the sky. Droplet looked around confused, and saw the Wildclaw a few dragon-lengths away with a puff of mist where she was moments ago. The Wildclaw whipped around, apparently looking for her. When it spotted her, it grinned and walked over. "So, I guess you can teleport. Since you don't know where you came from, you're coming with me."

She followed the Wildclaw, who introduced herself as Buttercup. As they travelled Buttercup explained they were in the Sunbeam Ruins, though on the opposite side of the border with the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Droplet confessed what she heard at her former clan, but Buttercup calmed her nerves by telling her the clan they were going to was full of misfits. Droplet wouldn't stand out so much.

Along their way they discovered stress was a big trigger for Droplet's teleportation. Buttercup taught her some calming techniques, and over time Droplet was able to stop the random teleports. From there she worked on triggering it, and trying to control where she teleports to.
