As the egg cracked, the proud parents watched with bated breath, eager to see what their new bundle of joy would look like. Would his plumage be as bright and healthy as they hoped? They were sure it would be so. As fledgling wings stretched forward, they chittered in joy at the vibrant violet. It was as they had hoped! He was beautiful! He was... Almost entirely white other than that. Healthy bright wings, and yet a pale, sickly colored body. An ill omen for certain. A portent of what was to come? A harbinger of doom to the clan? Ah, whatever. Meztli never had time for their superstitions. Mumbling about doomsday and all that. Forget it. He had better things to do. Like...well he wasn't quite sure just yet, but he'd figure it out eventually. As soon as his wings were strong enough to carry him, he was out, flying free to find a place with a bit more sense to it. He landed among the snowfalls. Cold, but hey, at least it matched. They seemed to like his colors here. Settled now into a happy little clan, he serves as treasurer and the face of the group...whether they are aware of it or not. An enterprising business-dragon, he runs a little shop, where he 'helps' the clan by cleaning out items they don't need. At least in his opinion. Malek may be the official clan leader, but more of the decisions are influenced by the playful Coatl than most of the clan realizes. Inquisitive and curious, Meztli has always been a bit strange: A fact he has been perfectly happy to embrace. With an optimistic personality, and an eternally upbeat mood, he's always ready and willing to cheer other dragons up. His interests are varied and change by the week, although he has long held a love of collecting pets and dabbling in magic. Some say that he is aloof, but he simply doesn't have the desire to spare time for those he doesn't know well. Better to spend it with friends, and once a new friend is welcomed, they are held as closely as his very oldest. His sense of humor can be a bit off-putting, tending towards the morbid, but he means well, honest...honest. The energetic and talkative merchant has had more than a few mates in his time in the clan, a fact he seems if anything outlandishly proud of. None of them have lasted long. He finally seems to have settled down somewhat: at the least he finds his way to share a nest with Citlali most nights. Even the intimidating and cantankerous potion master can't put an end to his flirting entirely--tho to be fair, she doesn't seem to have much care to spare in wanting to. His favorite lady on the side seems to be a frequent visitor from an allied Plague clan, the troublemaker Mimi. With a history in the Ever Ice--her abandoned egg having been found by the clan itself--the two are enough to cause a headache to all those nearby, tho it would appear Mimi's mate is rather more bothered by their dalliance than Citlali, who seems if anything relieved to have an excuse to beg free of intimacy. Only time will tell if their flirtations will end in conflict. In the meantime, neither seem overly concerned.  |
