Once upon a time, there was a not-so-popular Tundra. Hatched alone and abandoned, she worried that she was somehow wrong, and that she was unworthy of love. So she went on a little journey. With her trusty Dodo, Mr. Whiggins, beside her, Eva traveled the world, learning about the different cultures and clans and flights that populate the globe. Slowly but surely, she began to come out of her shell, experimenting with different identities and ideas. At first she put them on as a kind of disguise, something to cover up who she had been. But over time, the journey itself became important, and she forgot to be self-conscious. She learned to love the path she was on, and just a little bit, to love herself. Returning to the little clan that she calls family, her friends hardly recognized her. Without even noticing, Eva had changed, her travels leaving their mark on her, and bringing her out of her shell. She had always been jealous of those lovely ladies with their pretty manners that always seemed to know just what to say, but all of a sudden, she found that everyone wanted to talk to her. More importantly, they wanted to listen. Eva had learned and experienced more than most dragons could ever hope to, and in doing so, had found a quiet sort of confidence that attracts friends like a magnet. She may never stop journeying, but she no longer travels to escape. The journey itself has become a part of her. |

Abandoned. The first word the young female ever truly thought only served to drive home how very alone she found herself. Had she...never been meant to be born? What had been so very wrong with her that even her own parents had left her before even meeting her? She did not like alone, she did not like it at all.
But it was all that she had ever known. She had lived her life solitary, shying away from those who passed close to her lair. Surely they would see nothing of worth in her, even if they should look. Best to save herself the trouble. Best to remain alone. It wasn't...fun, exactly. But it was safe, and safe was very, very important.
Yet...lately, she had begun to wonder. She knew--or at least, she thought she knew--that she would never leave a child. Perhaps there were others who would not do so? And perhaps there were others out there, somewhere, who could learn to love her, somehow. Despite her flaws. She knew she had flaws. So terribly many of them. But perhaps somewhere inside her was something worth while?
Her trusty Dodo beside her (Mister Whiggins followed her home one day and just...wouldn't leave), she's set out to find her own happiness. Track her path here.
