The eleven archangels (rais-caédemir) were all created by their respective deities to provide protection and guidance to mortals.

Each archangel is a perfect vessel for their own element. They were created specifically to be the master of the element assigned to them, and their reserves of it are near infinite as their connection to the magical grid of their homeland is considered unseverable.

Thus, archangels are believed by many to be unkillable and undying. The sheer amount of magic they possess transcends their physical bodies and so they are invulnerable to even the strongest spells and weapons.

Each archangel is seen as the ultimate overseer of their flight domain. They are divines, and so many mortal dragons worship them as such.

All archangels have built at least one city, known in each realm as the Arch-Kingdom, most likely to be the largest most populated kingdom within its respective flight domain.

Each archangel has the ability to manifest a weapon unique to them alone from the very core of their element. Those weapons can be used only by their owners, and are incredibly powerful, capable of bending their element to their will.

Archangels have their own personalities, desires, beliefs, et cetera. Some get along, some do not, but there is nevertheless a reluctant alliance between them all, as their objective is to keep peace and protect mortals instead of waging war and sacrificing lives in their own names to conquer each others' realms.

Archangels were tasked with creating their own bloodlines among mortals, many of which ended up being royalty and nobles. An archangel is forbidden from creating offspring with another archangel, as the mix of elements would be volatile and potentially a threat to the entire world.

Descendants of archangels in the current day of dragonkind still often sit upon thrones of their kingdoms. As time went by, populations grew and their mortal leaders rose, archangels became less and less involved, eventually leading up to them leaving their own kingdoms and allowing their descendants to fully take charge.

While archangels themselves have agreed to not declare wars, their descendants are not held down by such rules, and thus free to conquer other kingdoms if they wish. Their archangel ancestors do not interfere with their affairs; in fact, some may even be proud of their bloodlines for being successful conquerors.

The offspring of two archangels is an angel (caédemir). An angel's magic is incredibly strong and very unstable, with the potential to bring great calamity.

The offspring of an archangel and an immortal is a half-angel. Not much is known about the phenomenon of a half-angel but they are assumed to be less volatile than angels.
