Biography
Dreena (Random Progen)
The Gladekeeper's Ambassador
The Gladekeeper's Ambassador
Dreena is often looked to as both a teacher and a counselor. She feels it is her duty to spread the Gladekeeper's teachings to young dragons and new clan members alike.
She originated in the Windswept Plateu, but like all Wind-born dragons she felt the pull of adventure; to explore the world and see new and exciting things. At the time, staying in one place seemed so boring. And so she and her mate Mannix left their home clan and all that they knew behind.
Dreena was fascinated with the Viridian Labyrinth in particular, and its residents sounded most interesting. When they got there though, they found themselves lost in its many twisting branches and low hanging vines. The guardians were so used to the open skies and vast mesas of the Wind domain that they did not know how to navigate through the Labyrinth. But suddenly Dreena felt a pull; something telling her where to go. Before long, she found herself at the trunk of the great Behemoth.
The Gladekeeper's voice filled her mind. She spoke softly, but with a hint of protectiveness and suspicion in her voice, wondering why the pair was wandering aimlessly amongst her forests. Dreena spoke truthfully. She wanted to travel and see the Nature dragons' homeland, but ended up learning the hard way that it was no easy task navigating and surviving in the harsh wilds.
Despite their wind origins, the Gladekeeper lent the dragons her aid. She pointed the Guardians in the direction of a clan led by an imperial female named Visenya, and the deity knew that they would be accepted there.
"The Gladekeeper is a very nurturing and protective mother, always teaching us how to better use her forests to our advantage. She teaches us how to effectively camouflage amongst the fauna, and how to swiftly navigate through the trees. She teaches us which plants can be used to heal our wounds, and which can be used to kill. Our enemies know it is very unwise to take on a Nature dragon on their own lands.
However, The Gladekeeper can be harsh if she feels it is needed. She wishes for all flora and fauna to have the chance to grow and thrive. But sometimes tough love is required. After all, as her children we must be strong enough to expand the reaches of her forests to the farthest corners of Sornieth... And be able to successfully defend them from those that wish to cause harm.
Other flights may think of us as simply the "tree" flight, though that describes us better than they know. For we are strong and resilient as the trunk of the great tree, and we spread much like its roots. And though we do not often strive for dominance, we are not easily cut down."
