Mannix and his mate once led a clan of their own before joining Visenya's, but as young Wind dragons they both felt the pull to explore. They decided it was best to leave their old life behind and travel to the Viridian Labyrinth. The towering trees and overgrowth of flora was a vast change from the sharp cliffs, flat mesas and breezy skies of their homeland. The sound of wind whistling through the grass was replaced with the screams of unseen animals, and wary eyes peered at them from within the sprawling undergrowth.
But there was a strange peacefulness about the savage wilds. And a feeling of belonging that caused the Guardians to no longer feel the need to travel.
When the pair joined the clan, Mannix took up his old job as a fighting instructor. Dragons of all breeds and ages come to him to hone their skills, whether they wish to duel in the coliseum or simply defend the clan in times of battle. As the heaviest dragon in the clan with an immense strength, many dragons feel uneasy around the male. But while he can be quick to temper and extremely tough on his students, many have turned out much stronger because of it and he would protect the clan with his life.
His entire life has been fighting. He trained under his own instructor as an adolescent, and when he was experienced enough he put that training to good use in the coliseum. Couple his strength and size with his temper, and he was a real terror in a fight. But after years of fighting he felt he was more useful elsewhere - sharing his knowledge and prowess with the rest of the clan.
The recent uprooting of the clan to Dragonhome has left the pair feeling uneasy.
