 		aether is the original founder of the carillon, though few of the clan ever catch sight of her these days. she resides deep in the heart of the lair, keeping silence, solitude, and stillness while monitoring ripples in the ether. by keeping in touch with the lines of magic that flow across the world she can catch glimpse of any troubles or danger that might approach her clan. she keeps herself in this state for days on end while her children rule the clan, coming out of her daze periodically to check that things are still in order.

very much distant and detached, aether has few friends, but she is the only dragon who can keep the heirs aurum and argent in line. when she is spiritually present, she's surprisingly caring and adventurous; though the hard responsibilities of carrying a clan and raising children has shaped her, she's in many ways as young as the day the windsinger breathed life into her. she is very much maternal, considering her whole clan hers to look after.
