There are those who vehemently believe that there are two worlds, two states of being -- that the world in which we dream in is actually a second reality. Because of this, creating potions, particularly sleeping potions, has become a lucrative profession.

What started as a hobby to create ointments and oils, potion making became her salvation when she stumbled upon an important necessity needed for her potions beyond just a simple blue entoloma. With it, Kimiko is able to conjure up potions that allow people to sleep for as long as they desired, to be able to leave this physical world and live a second life.

While potions gave her a newfound purpose, it wasn't always this way. She fought ruthlessly when she was younger for survival, in hopes of finding safety. The one thing that was a constant, however, was her dreams. And so, whenever she was in trouble, she dreamed. Here, in this reality of sorts, she had peace of mind that what she was doing was right, endlessly encouraged by her lost sister who she was only ever able to talk to in her dreams. With all the dramatic shifts and turns her life has taken, she was always a compass of sorts. After all, it was her sister who provided her with her secret: the baku.
