Aya couldn't really remember his childhood. He knew he came from a plague clan, but it was for only days until he was taken.

Where had he been taken? He was never sure. It was dark, he remembered that much.

The darkness, and how he felt.

Alone. Like everything was gone. How his parents had just let him be taken. All he could do in the dark was think of life. The one he could have been living, if other dragons even knew of his existence, or how he was wasting away in a dark room with no way of escaping.

He had lost track of the days. He would wake up, sit in silence for who knows how long, and then fall asleep - maybe find scraps or remnants of things.

Until one day, a purple feline had appeared. A snap of it's claws, and it disappeared, leaving him to his solitude.
Then there was light.
Someone had found him, lying there, half dead, eyes dull.
It only took them my entire life.
Or rather, all the time he could have been building character and experience.

Slowly, a skydancer walked in. The first dragon he had seen since the glimpse of his parents.
"What are you doing here? You look like you haven't eaten in ages.

Don't... leave me.

He didn't even know how to say it out loud. If there was no one to talk to, there was no reason to speak. Thankfully for him, the skydancer seemed to have understood him.

"Hey don't worry. I'm Kalya. I'll take you back to my clan, and let you rest there, if that's alright with you."

As he nodded, another dragon came in the room.

"Alright. Get up if you don't want to be left here."

Aya let out sharp gasp of breath at the thought of his potential rescuers leaving him here. After so long, he wasn't going to let himself be stuck.

"Toxin, don't say that." Kalya said to the spiral. Turning towards him, he said, "Take your time. We aren't going to leave you."

Aya is hesitant to trust other dragons. Although he has enough trust for his clan, her as a fear of being left alone again.

He's terrified of absolute darkness
