Biography
Venerable.
Firestorm is the patriarch and male alpha of his clan. He is gentle and reasonable, but not to be disobeyed. The others follow his rule unquestionably, and he protects them with the ferocity and and fervor that Guardian dragons are known for.

Upon leaving his birth clan on The Search, he knew immediately that he was meant to begin his own clan and protect it as Guardians do. He forged his clan among the ashes of Emberglow Hearth, initially meeting and mating with a female Tundra dragon called Slania. After spending many months searching for and preparing the perfect nesting grounds, she birthed three eggs, and Firestorm began to fall for her.
However, she did not wish for the same life as him. Before her eggs were even hatched, she left Firestorm and the small clan they had formed to serve the Flamecaller, leaving him to raise the young on his own. It was then he decided to fully dedicate himself to this clan, rather than to any single mate, though he knew a mate was necessary for the strength and continuation of his clan.

Time passed, and Firestorm's young grew, but his clan itself stayed four for the time being. During this time, they settled into the Emberglow Hearth, enjoying time as a small clan and family.
The next dragon Firestorm and his clan came across was Embersky, a female Skydancer on her own search, originating from the Scarred Wasteland. She was unsure where her journey would take her, but she knew she was in the right place when she found Firestorm and his children. She asked to join the small clan, and though Firestorm was at first wary to allow another to join them, Embersky soon proved herself trustworthy and was allowed to settle in with them.
Firestorm knew it was likely time to begin searching for another mate, and Embersky was young and strong, and he knew he must do what was best for his clan. However, he did not love her, and she did not love him. The two tried to have hatchlings, but their discomfort with one another never ceased, and they were unable to do so. Since then, there has been a chill in the air between the two, a chill the other members of the clan can feel, but do not comment on or ask about. However, in times of battle or when the two need to defend the clan from an outside attack, they are able to work together in a way that is efficient, thorough, and deadly. During these times, one may see how they were meant to be mates; however, when the fighting is finished, they immediately return to their cool, almost uncomfortable way of viewing one another.
Another notable fighter in the clan who works together extremely well with Firestorm and Embersky is the playful Imperial, Opaline. She came across the clan one day after Embersky and was able to settle herself in quickly with her friendly demeanor and silly atmosphere. The hatchlings all love her, but she is equally fierce in battle as Firestorm and Embersky, and is able to fight alongside them as if the three are perfect puzzle pieces.

Over time, others joined their clan, Rivermoon among them. She was the first to successfully mate with Firestorm after Slania left, and the two hatched three more young together, growing their clan even more. Though Firestorm considers her his mate, he at first struggled to feel the same affection for her that he once felt for Slania, and that he was unable to feel for Embersky. As time went by, he began to see and admire her inner strength, which was rivaled by no other. He now sees her as his equal in a protector for the clan and as a mate. His love for her grows with each day.
