Biography
"Aeshma, my lady, you look rather pale today. Are you well?"
"No need for your concern Thallos, I'm am quiet fine," their voices carried down the ruin's halls.
"No need to be so harsh, I was simply making small talk."
"Small talk with you? Ha, do you even know what that means? You'll immediately spew off into some philosophical ramble if I gave you the time of day!"
"... Are you sure the trials aren't getting to you? You're more snappy than when I met you."
"And are you possibly implying that I can't handle something so simple?"
"Ah, I did not mean to offend, but even I know that some of the trials are practically impossible. Even for a well accomplished mage such as myself. Hells when Sianar announced what you were to do even his adviser Fannar flinched! Faes. Don't. Flinch."
"That just means he has more faith in me than his own damned adviser," she stops and turns to him, eyes hiding some other feeling deep within them, "Which speaking of faith in me, you should have more of too!"
Thallos stops with her, sighing, "Aeshma, you know I'm on your side, at your beck and call when you need me, you really should stop putting on such a front. I know your tricks of hiding what your really feeling, and .... gods I'm worried sick! Aeshma please just trust someone other than yourself once in awhile."
"The last person I trusted tried to murder me, Thallos." With venomous words Aeshma stormed off, tail flicking, leaving Thallos alone in the ruin's cold hallways.
"She does have the mind to remember that the both of you are still technically outsiders you know," a gravelly voice from behind Thallos stated. "There are ears everywhere."
"Gaap please don't startle me like that again. You move so quietly it's almost otherworldly," Thallos turns to look at the ragged Skydancer, his eyes glaring out from under the wolf pelt he always wore.
"Apologies, mage. A bad habit of mine it seems," Gaap lets out a low laugh, before putting back on his stern appearance, "But you are right that the trials Aeshma has been assigned to are nearly impossible. Well, nearly being the key word. Sianar made sure to weave the trials in such a way to manipulate her and Acolyte into a pact they won't be able to get out of. Be wary of her, keep her from shedding her current scales."
"And why would you be telling me all this," Thallos questioned, "I pegged you'd be the sort of dragon that would want something out of a deal before spilling information."
"You would be right in that assumption, but I will have already gotten something from this if she can hold on," Gaap said as he stalked off to wherever he was going in the first place, leaving Thallos once again alone.
