Biography
Gunnr
The weakling of the clutch, Gunnr was fully expected to perish within a few days of her hatching. She was born dying of illness, her body not yet fully hardened to the diseases of the wasteland, and she was not paid much attention by her mother, who focused more on her stronger siblings. Surprisingly for everyone, she struggled on long enough for her father to make the decision to raise the little Mirror with her siblings.
Even as she ages, though, she still remains comparatively weak. Her wings are too small to support her skeletal form, she's frail in structure, and her scales are flaking and look bleached, the red present in sparse patches. Despite this, she's extremely tenacious, and the clan members have never quite stopped wondering why she clings to life so unrelentingly.
Resourceful enough to find ways to try and compensate for her physical weakness, she sharpens the bones, spines, and other pointy bits of the creatures in the wasteland, attaching them to her own claws and tail for added offense, sometimes dousing them in poisons. Despite this, she has low stamina, low physical strength, and the defenses of a paper bag. Being sneaky or fighting dirty are not above her, as she usually needs such tactics to win the fights and scuffles she starts.
Personality-wise, growing up with such low expectations have left Gunnr desperate to prove herself, hostile towards anyone she meets, and needlessly defensive. Even the most harmless comment seems like an attack to her, and merely mentioning anything she perceives as a comment on her stature or appearance sends her into a rage.
Heliotrope has a fascination with her, being a runt himself. He's often found working on a gift for her; limb armatures similar to his own to help support her body. As annoyed as she is with his fatherly affection, she is happy that the armatures help her in battle.
