History

Born into a forest-dwelling Wind clan, Lahamu first set out on the healer's path when she learned to use wild-grown plants to treat her clanmates' afflictions. She eventually left the clan to settle into a more stable apprenticeship. Something of the Wind Flight's wanderlust remained in her, however, and after she completed her studies, she sought work far away from her homeland.

She found a job among the Disillusionists as a nurse, supervised by Chief Healer Pyrea. Life with her new clan proved to be eventful for Lahamu, enough to keep her from growing bored and seeking employment elsewhere. She remained with the Disillusionists and saw the clan grow from a modest-sized lair into a sprawling complex filled with dragons. Lahamu's own life among the Disillusionists was fairly exciting, and in addition to meeting friends (some of whom later became her mates) in the clan, her work brought her into contact with strange beings and even stranger medical cases.

Her time in the Sunbeam Ruins gave her plenty of medical experience — enough so that she eventually began longing to see the world beyond the clan's territory again. Despite being taciturn, almost stern, the Wind Flight's sense of adventure still runs through Lahamu, and she is willing to tackle even the strangest and most stressful medical situations. The long years of work have made her unflappable, brisk, and efficient, and she hopes to be an asset to other clans she can find work in.

► RELATIONSHIPS

Pyrea | Supervisor
Pyrea was the only other healer employed by the Disillusionists when Lahamu joined the clan, and the two of them formed a close working relationship, thanks to the long years of relying on each other. Though they were coldly professional, almost curt, towards each other, Lahamu and Pyrea shared a deep mutual respect. Between the two of them, they could handle, or at least mitigate, most medical emergencies.

Haroun | Colleague
At an early age, Haroun found himself dreading the violence of the Serthis' intergenerational wars, and he hitched a way out on a passing dragon's caravan. Away from his conservative clan, his natural aptitude for poisons gave way to learning draconic medical arts. His work eventually led him to the Disillusionists. He started work as Lahamu's assistant, but soon came into his own as a member of the Medical Team.

Abri | Mate
Lahamu's second mate is just as reserved as she is. They did have a good working relationship, however; while she was with the clan, Abri harvested special components from rainforest creatures and plants for her. These were used in the production of supplies, including medicines used by the Medical Team.

Hyreshi | Daughter
One of Lahamu's and Abri's many children. Hyreshi is something of a mystery to them, being flamboyant and haughty by nature -- something neither of her parents are. There isn't much affection between them, and they seem to regard each other with the civil detachment that business acquaintances usually have.
