There was an attack. That much Centauri still remembers. It was years ago when the fate of the Magical Society was still uncertain. He had fought for the Society, and was injured for his efforts. His injuries were extensive and the healers were already drained. They sadly informed the soldier that he was dying, and that they could not help.

Centauri accepted his fate, but a dear friend of his, Dazzlegaze, did not. Dazzle was skilled with bringing life to plants. He could grow them at will without need for a seed. In desperation, he attempted to give life back to Centauri. It worked... in a way. Large plants sprung from his dying body, and they sustained him. The plants took Centauri on as a host, and would not allow him to die. No matter how much he might wish for it now.

The plants keep Centauri from dying, but they now cause him constant pain. They dig into his flesh, constantly sapping his energy to keep themselves alive as well. It has caused him to turn bitter, and keep himself away from others. He doesn't want their help and he doesn't want their sympathy. He only wants to be left alone so that he may rest. From Dazzlegaze he inherited the power to grow his own plants. He is most apt to use this ability now to push others away from him.
