Biography

Crone

It took her a moment to recognise the smoking pile of ashen feathers and charred hide as a dragon, and one of her own kind no less. A fall from such a height would have broken any other dragon, and to be set aflame on top of that? She could barely believe that he was still breathing. But the rise and fall of his chest was undeniable, shallow though it was, and the dark eyes that peered at her were far too filled with fear to be dead. She passed a hand over the broken wings and burned hide, ignoring the stranger's strangled attempt at a warning hiss. With a flick of her wrist, a soft green light coated the dragon and all the pain-induced tension melted away, and the dark eyes rolled back into their sockets and into a deep slumber. This would certainly be an interesting case to work on.

Healing words and solitude are the lessons Crone were taught growing up. Her mother taught her and her siblings the ways of witchcraft, of curses and healing and powers beyond imagining, and then let them go to make their own way in the world. The only contact she ever made was with dragons who stumbled upon her lone lair, and whether they received a blessing or a curse, or any acknowledgement at all, often depended entirely on how well they could convince her that they were worth her time.
When Mordrew fell from the skies in a firey blaze, fate landed his through the canopy and into the gardens of Crone. The entrance itself was enough to gain her attention, but his ability to remain conscious throughout the fall and during her assessment only served to increase her interest. What she hadn't expected was to grow attached. Hundreds, if not thousands of dragons had passed through her life, each more complex than the last and none had left any major impression, but Mordrew entered her services and she stole his heart as payment.
