Current thread with a Gamer Crew, led by @Paintminion on this thread.

One day the Wind Flight Council discussed a way to make money for Dom, and a complaint was made that those gamers were not doing enough for Wind Flight Dominance Battles. The gamer dragons were so busy playing their games, they were forgetting to do their part for Dom and show up for training sessions. The Flight needed funds, and gamers were earning funds, maybe they would game on behalf of the Flight? Get them involved in our fundraising if they were going to sit around and play their games instead of joining the ranks. Windsinger Wednesday was born!

It is now a special weekly Game Day, a program where at least one day a week all the game-loving dragons meet up and play games to earn donations for Wind Flight's Dom efforts. You simply play and pay any winnings to the Flight and can get fair credit for the efforts.

Being a gamer is now a respectable form of Dom Participation!

How I Became A Gamer

VelvetWind grew up in a Lair completely obsessed with Dom Battles, but never enjoyed training, or sniping, or any of that military stuff. Any chance she could she snuck away to play games instead. Those around the Lair despaired of ever getting her and her gaming friends involved in defending the honor of Wind Flight in the name of Windsinger.

One day Paintminion was discussing with others on the council something about a way to make money for Dom but put those gamers to work at the same time. Windsinger Wednesday was born and VelvetWind was one of the first to sign up!

Windsinger Wednesday developed into a program where one day a week, all the game-loving dragons of the Lair would meet up and play games to earn donations for Wind Flight's Dom efforts.

VelvetWind will continue to play when she can and donate to the cause! She hates coli, hates planning, hates crowds - but lives for the games and a chance to help her flight HER way!

Favorite Game: Glimmer & Gloom

Glimmer & Gloom is a puzzle strategy game where the goal is to turn all tiles on the board to a single element. The player is not assigned a side and can choose to turn the board to Light or Shadow at their leisure.

Rules of the Game
  • Use the mouse to click on a tile. Upon clicking, that tile and all tiles that share a border with it will be switched to the other element.
  • Turn the entire board dark or light to win. Doesn't matter which.
  • The game has five difficulties: Easy, Medium, Hard, Very Hard, and "Special". As the difficulty increases, so does the size of the board—as well as the treasure payout.

Runestones of the Arcanist


Runestones of the Arcanist is programmed by Brandon Williamson with art by Jessica "Neondragon" Peffer and music by Dominic Kovell. It is a simple game that involves matching different pairs of Runestones in a set amount of time. It tests your memory and gets harder and harder with more cards as the game progresses.

Rules of the Game
  • Click any two tiles to turn them over and reveal their symbols. If they match, they are cleared from the board.
  • If the two tiles do not match, they are flipped back and hidden again.
  • Clear all tiles on the board to advance to the next level.
  • Complete the board before the timer is over, or it ends the game.

Favorite Game: Jigsaw Puzzle

Flight Rising artwork has been made into jigsaw puzzles of different degrees of difficulty. Solve the puzzle by connecting all the pieces to form the image and you gain treasure depending on the difficulty and time it takes you.

Rules of the Game
  • Manuever pieces of the puzzle next to each other until they snap together.
  • When all pieces of the image snap together, the puzzle is complete.

Game Notes: Jigsaw is not usually recommended as a good game for grinding for treasure. The higher difficulty levels are prone to problems - if the internet connection is lost, there is no score, and all the time put into the puzzle is wasted. However, for people with slower connections, the Easy level is one of the most reliable ways to grind, as it doesn't rely on fast reflexes.

Puzzle Tip: Every puzzle includes the red Flight Rising logo in a corner or along an edge, making a great place to start putting your puzzle together.

Favorite Game: Higher or Lower Game

Guess whether the face-down card is higher or lower than the card on the left. If you guess correctly, you'll win!

Rules of the Game
  • Cards range from 1 to 13
  • Take a guess. Go on! Click Up arrow for higher, down arrow for lower.
  • Every hour you are allowed 25 guesses
  • You get 65t per correct answer.
  • You can play every hour. There is a timer so you know exactly when the next game starts.

Favorite Game: Shock Switch
Shock Switch is played by keeping the stacks of colored squares (Power Cells) from reaching the top of the board. As new Cells fall, they can be moved right or left until they reach the bottom or land on top of another Cell. Cells can be swapped horizontally to match up, but new ones are always falling, so act quickly before the Cells reach the top and cause a game over!

Rules of the Game
  • Line up three or more Cells in matching colors and they'll be eliminated.
  • You get extra points and charge by matching numbers greater than 3.
  • Eliminating Cells adds a charge to the bar on the top left corner of the screen. Once this bar is filled, it can be activated (by pressing 's'), and all the Cells onscreen will be cleared.
  • Once the clocks reach the top, the game is over.

Difficulties:
Very Easy - Four block types, speeds of 4 and under
Easy - Four block types, speeds of 9 and under
Normal - Five block types, speeds of 19 and under
Hard - Six block types, speeds of 29 and under
Very Hard - Six block types, speeds of 30+

Favorite Game: Tidal Trouble

Tidal Trouble is a slow-paced puzzle game of precision shooting found at the Fairgrounds under the Play header on the Flight Rising navigation bar. Points are earned by popping three or more colorful bubbles. Clearing each puzzle will earn you a handful of treasure.

Rules of the Game
  • Shoot colored bubbles at the the ones stuck at the top of the screen. Match 3 or more and they pop.
  • you get extra points for bouncing off the walls and also by clearing chunks of bubbles all at once.
  • Bubble color loaded into your conch is shown on the top right corner. Next bubble in line
    is shown just behind the current color.
  • Every few shots, the board shifts down increasing the pressure.
  • The game is over when the curtain of bubbles crosses the blue line.

Favorite Game: Artifracture

Artifracture combines the classic connect 3 type of game with some fun twists. Instead of just any combos, you are given increasing quotas and a timer, along with some specials.

Rules of the Game
  • The timer is the same each level.
  • The timer continues to run during match animations even though you cannot interact with the board during animations.
  • Treasure earned is the same for the level, independent of score.
  • You must clear the level in the given time to earn any treasure at all.

Quote:
Best Tip: Do not bother going past level 7 if you want to keep it fast and fairly easy. Just start over at level 1 and pretty quick you will have about 7k per pass.

Donation Tracking, let's get real. Some gamers just don't bother recording their donations. They grab their receipts from the accountant at WW and shove the receipt into a pocket, a drawer, or that fishbowl on the sideboard. Some do keep records, knowing they might need to prove their respectability for helping Wind Flight to those that look down their snouts on gamers. Hopefully this helps change their minds.
