The Captain

3l8cMON.png Yeah... this crap goes back to being a WIP--

He's as salty a sea dog as you can get with a sailor's mouth to boot. Savik is even-tempered, likes to drink (but never too much for that would compromise the integrity of his ships and the safety of his crews). He's a fair, but firm captain that tolerates very little tomfoolery on his vessels. Off ship, his mood lightens considerably and he's most playful and kind-hearted. Though for the most part, he is a tough bugger, he does have a soft spot and has been caught shedding a tear at moments of great joy, strife, or sorrow. Don't let him know you saw, however. The resulting argument might have you walk away with a black eye.

Though he is not quick to temper when he finally reaches that point he can be quite aggressive. When it comes to the safety of his crews and his ships he can become quite agitated, and even downright violent. They are his second family and he is exceptionally protective of family.

He is afraid of water, but will adamantly deny that until the day he fades. When on his ship he will usually be seen with several layers of life preservers. He's also afraid of flying fish, the explanation for that one has yet to be forthcoming from the captain though.

  • Treats Xera as a close companion and is very protective of Cyrene's adopted mother
  • The two become his family very quickly
  • He and his crew know full well what Cyrene is, though they do not know what family she's from
  • Brings TerraJade on board his ship to help him and Xera take care of hatchiling Cyrene
  • Will eventually help Cyrene discover where she came from
  • NEW--He suffers from Dissociative fugue, or a temporary amnesia.

 WIP-- Savik has been with his clan since he was a cub. He was thankfully saved from the slave market by Talos and brought to a place he was loved and cared for. It was this love and devotion that lent to his own. As a young adult he took an unnatural liking to fishing. Where he should have been terrified to get close to the water, instead he eased right up on it and proudly plucked it's bounty from it. He took on an apprenticeship with an old fisherdrake (an old Skydancer that was twice as salty as Savik could ever be). He learned all of the old man's tricks and earned the tough old fool's adoration. When it came time for the fisherdrake to settle down and retire he handed Savik his first fishing vessle. The Sea Biscuit. It was a rickety old thing, but it worked well enough to earn Savik quite a profit. Enough to get his next ship and hire a captain. Again, his financial gain soared and he was able to purchase the last ship in his fleet and hire yet another captain and crew. Today he is the primary import/export fleet for the clan. He still fishes too.
