Biography
Ives is nothing if not a collector and organizer of things. A bit more esoteric than Amund and a bit less stringent than Bryg, some take him as a laid-back dragon. He presumes it has something to do with his appearance. After all, his large mane and his loose-fitting robes do grant him a relaxed aesthetic.
But while he appears genial and unassuming, Ives is an extremely accurate assessor. He studies and compares items, noting their crafting type, their patina, and any mention of them in the archives to determine their age, purpose, and value. Books, especially, are his specialty. Ledgers and tomes, catalogues and encyclopedias can be found littered around his room, remnants of last time he was looking for something. Despite this, his shelves are impeccable, as he takes time weekly to return books to their proper places, each filling its spot in his filing system.
Ives' collection extends beyond books. He also collects baubles - anything that glitters, really, and the older the better, even if it were of cheap materials. He adores beetles and cicadas as well, and the walls of his studies are covered in the glittering carapaces of former banes of his mate's crops.
His mate, Bergamot, is in charge of the clan's gardens. While they are both quite busy individuals - he indoors and she outdoors - they get along well as their personalities are quite complimentary. He reads her poetry during their times together, and she ensures he always has the nicest leaves for his salads.

For a while, I stayed around the Sunbeam Ruins. I had heard talk of a big need for strong dragons, and even though I'm small, Dad always said I shouldn't let my size limit me! ... But I don't really think fighting is my path. I watched some other dragons go off for training, and it looks really intense! Maybe I'm just a little scared, but I'd rather study a problem than go rushing in to take its head off. The whole thing didn't really fit me, and it would take so long to get to a place where I'd be helpful to another clan... It was a lot of work for something that wasn't really for me.
So I decided instead to check out this clan over in Dragonhome! There's a whole collection of other dragons there that are born second, and they're working together to protect the clan by bringing together the best aspects of their own flights. It sounded like a really neat project, and I hoped that I could work on it. I was so nervous when they interviewed me!
But it seems I have a ton of potential for the group! I'm so excited! I can't wait to work with them, and I'm looking forward to a long, productive, and prosperous engagement with this other clan.
I managed to raise some money since I've been here, and I wanted to pass it along to you, since I know that I wasn't able to send much back the last time you heard from me. I also found some things you might find useful, especially since I hear home is pretty full of new faces, too!
