Biography
Alder
Professor of Nature
Professor of Nature
|
Being from Tanglewood Glade, Alder has the gift of growth. He is able to aid plants in growing strong and healthy. Additionally, he has a lot of knowledge about nature from his time in the Glade - although he won't share exactly what happens there. He took up the role of "Professor of Nature" at Voyager's Point in order to share his knowledge with the world, and hopefully find his true mate through all the travelling dragons of the Realm. Alder spent much of his life searching for his true mate, for it was prophesied that when he did - they would one day have a son who would be one of Nature's greatest strengths and allies. It was said that this dragon would be able to help Nature and Civilization live harmoniously across the land. He believes he may have found his mate, named Aspen - but only time will tell.
Heritage: Tanglewood Glade
Tanglewood Glade is the origin of some of Sornieth’s most Druidic dragons, it is said. The landscape lends itself to those who can fit in, as the trees and plants are said to be animated. What an ordinary, or unappreciative dragon or creature may see as an ever-changing and entrapping forest, those who are one with nature see a welcoming and peaceful environment. The trees are said to actually be Ents (otherwise known as Treants or Treefolk) and the tangling vines are supposedly snakes. Tanglewood Glade received its name from travelers who would find themselves unable to sense direction in the forest. Only those who are respectful of nature may see the forest in its truest form. Those who the forest deems worthy may see friendly Ents moving about and joining the trees in shading other inhabitants from the sun or sheltering them from rain They may also see the snakes dancing among the trees and singing with the wind. The forest’s creatures are incredibly kind and live in harmony - except when threatened. Those whom the Guardians of the Forest deem worthy enough can make it to the Glade in the center of the forest. What is there is a secret - but many believe it is the home of the Guardians (who are believed to be direct descendants of the Gladekeeper herself) and that one can learn powerful nature magic if they are worthy enough. |
