As a hatchling, the first thing you learn—the very first thing right after learning how to walk—is that the light always triumphs over the darkness.

But there is a lesson that you must learn yourself, without the guidance of your Light-bound teachers and mentors and parents. You must learn the truth.
ABOUT.
Vesperum knows exactly what a heartbreak feels like, and she knows what comes after.

She cannot help it. Power like this is meant to be contained, yet she unleashes all of it into the creation of a monster crafted from her heartache and pain and sets it loose to rampage. It feeds on love and affection, and out there are a pearlcatcher and a spiral just learning how to trust each other about to be torn apart in its rampage. No one will see it coming. Helios and Boreas sure as Shade do not. Vesperum is roped into chasing her mistake down even as her heart heals and she learns to forgive; the creature is savage and cruel and sentient, and she realises soon after just how capable she is.

And how easily she can hurt those around her.

She will pick herself up and begin anew. When Helios asks her to join the clan and become its Light-mage (it is no request, but she accepts regardless), she goes with an open mind and a weary heart, hoping for a peace she thinks will never come.

Tenebris and Lucidum give her just that.
