Biography
PICKED FOR PRETTIEST DRAGON
13 Times! |
Yoko is probably the most unappreciated dragon in the clan, but still works begrudgingly to organize the hoard, vault, and trade between clans. She is perpetually tired and stressed, as the lair had little organization before she arrived. She is usually deep underground in the massive hoard cave, cataloging and rearranging items. When Zorro isn't busy expanding the lair, she helps Yoko shift around heavier objects in the hoard, which Yoko appreciates more than she can express. Yoko hasn't really had time to get close to anyone in the lair besides Zorro and Chai (who make sure she is always well fed, and gives her news of the outside world). She rarely leaves the hoard cave, and some members of the clan probably don't even realize she lives here. Whenever Daphne comes along with Chai's food deliveries, she chirps about how this lack of sunlight is going to dull Yoko's beautiful plumage. She is never anywhere without her familiar, Butterbean (or just Bean). In the moments she is free, she sneaks up to Cleo's garden and strolls about enjoying the flowers, sunlight, and sweet smells that remind her of home. She loved the warmth and sunlight of the Ruins, but her clan was far too aggressive for her to ever feel comfortable there. She had dreamt of living in the lush Viridian Labyrinth, but the overabundance of aggressive Wildclaws was too stressful for her passive nature. She was looking for a welcoming, laid-back clan where she could live a quiet, solitary life. She had completely disregarded the Ashfall Waste as a place to live, there was a terrible lack of greenery and sunlight, and all the lava made her anxious. But following the coast on her way from the Ruins to the Windswept Plateau, a sparkle in the cliffside above the waves caught her eye. She approached cautiously, and was surprised to find the entrance to a lair nestled in a large crack in the rock, isolated from the rest of the realm. The main cave entrance was decorated with flowering plants and vines, with countless sparkling trinkets scattered about which threw spots of light onto the cave walls. She was intrigued, but wasn't planning on joining a Fire clan just because they had a nice lair entrance. As she spread her wings to leave, she heard the quick patter of small feet approaching. She turned to see a chubby yellow Coatl bouncing towards her. This was Daphne, who then took her on a tour of lair (with no commentary Yoko could understand, just Coatl chirps), introducing her to the clan. She was given an artfully prepared meal (courtesy of Chai) and a soft nest with a lovely view of the sea. She decided to take a short break from the long flight, then never left. Her original goal was to find a quiet clan where she could live without a care among the flowers and sunlight, but the disorganized state of the hoard kept bothering her until it became an obsession. Her focus and organizational skills made her perfect for the job, which Beetle was unable to shoulder (she has zero organization whatsoever). She is gradually completing this grand task through the power of coffee and a loathing of messes. . |
