B I O G R A P H Y

Vorasaegha never knew her birth parents. She hatched in the nest of a family of tundra dragons, who had rescued the abandoned Ridgeback egg in the wilds. While her adoptive family was nothing but kind to her, she always felt out of place, and when she was able to fend for herself, she left the nest without a word.

The life of solitude suited Vorasaegha. She was fierce and intelligent - the two most critical traits when it came to surviving on the Icefield. When she was full grown, she made a small roost for herself, near the frozen peaks. One day, while she was out on a hunt, she came across a pair of young Skydancers, clearly no more than a few months old. The larger one, a pretty gold she-dragon named Halycon, shielded the smaller dragon - Crystalis - behind her, tenting her wings and rearing as Vorasaegha approached. The Ridgeback could smell their fear - and then she realized: they, too had been abandoned. She spoke to them gently, authoritatively, and eventually Halycon agreed to take shelter with her. Crystalis was terrified of the huge Ridgeback for a long while, but eventually, both Skydancers grew closer to her, and they became a close-knit family.

The day she met Zero, the three of them were returning from a hunt when they were accosted by the pack of ice wolves. Shoving Halycon and Crystalis to safety, Vorasaegha engaged the pack, but she could barely hold her own, and knew that they'd overcome her sooner or later. Still, she roared defiance at death, and fought on - and then Zero came to her aid. The ice Guardian had saved her life - yet he respected her prowess and independence in surviving out on the tundra with the Skydancers. Weak from the battle, Vorasaegha had no choice but to accept his offer of protection, at least for the time being.

“The time being" turned into weeks, and Vorasaegha finally made a full recovery. But she saw how Zero treated her and her adoptive daughters, and for the first time, she didn't recoil at the thought of living with other dragons. Zero told her of his mission from the Icewarden, and confessed that in she and her family, he had finally found his Charge, and would like nothing more than for them to join him in creating his clan. Vorasaegha accepted. As time continued to pass, she grew closer with Zero, and eventually, she became his queen. Zero, recognizing her ability, gave her the leadership of the Hiemal Visage, and she bears the title with pride, overseeing the clan with diligence and pride.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Vorasaegha never lost her guarded nature; she was always hesitant to trust newcomers to the clan, but never unreasonable, and always gave each and every dragon a chance to prove themself. She is a confident leader, and with Zero at her side as her advisor and mate, the two are unstoppable. Vorasaegha cares for her immediate family with all that she is, but is always dutiful to her clan as a whole.
