Biography

Received as a gift from the lovely @/briar

The runes covering her body tell of a very destructive spell that can wipe out an entire lair. She Is therefore very secretive and rarely let's anyone see her. Some say her loyal familiar is the only one to see even half of her unique symbols. Hopefully one day she will find someone she trusts...
She was wandering outside the clan again, as she liked to do when she was feeling especially overwhelmed by the presence of other dragons and the possibility they might ask about her runes. She spends a lot of time alone; not because she wanted to, but because she couldn't bear the thought of someone realizing the exact manner of the secret she hid.

After a while, she finally stopped to rest. For some reason, her eyes felt especially heavy. Realizing she was about to fall asleep, she crawled over to a bunch of bushes to hide in while she napped.

When she woke, she was shocked to find a wildwood owl staring her straight in the face. It's wide eyes seemed to be staring her down--looking into the depths of her soul.

"Oh, hey," she said in a quiet, sing-song voice without really thinking. ".... Oh, I must look silly talking to an owl."

The owl only blinked back at her, but she hoped that meant it understood.

"You know, the way your wings are colored look so very similar to mine," she was only musing to herself, but the owl stretched it's wings and looked her straight in the eyes again. Was it really listening to her? "I'd almost think we were meant to meet."

It was all just so strange. How could it feel this right to talk to someone who couldn't talk back? At any rate, the owl followed her home, and she saw no harm in letting it stay for some time. Eventually, she forgot all about any time when the owl wasn't around, and wouldn't even dream of talking to the owl as strange.

Maybe sometimes we all just need a person who can listen without judgement or words.

Lore by UnseenRangerGal
Whilst it cannot speak, Kaisou is always talking with her familiar, whether it be about herself, her thoughts, or even other dragons. The two are rarely seen apart if at all, and the Skydancer often shares experiences with the wildwood owl. Kaisou is always telling things to her familiar, confiding in it and seeming to understand and relish in the intelligent silence it provides. Who knows, perhaps this small critter knows more of the world then even the gods themselves...?
She had the look of nature
Yet she was light
A rest after the hunt
She wakes to the silence of a new friend
For it would be therein need of verbal troubles
Her scales were the sky
Her wings the forest below
Her runes marked danger
There was another like her
Kaisou
She had the friend of the nocturnal avian
But none of a dragon
But she would
It was night, and even the gently glowing trees of the Starwood Strands couldn't eliminate all the shadows. Creeping through these pools of darkness, Kaisou slipped out to hunt. Her thoughts were on her self-imposed isolation, and loneliness scratched at her stomach like a claw. It would be nice to have someone to converse with, for once. But then... The snapping of a dry twig startled her out of her train of thought, and when she looked up, she saw a guardian from her clan weaving through the trees nearby. What was his name again? Oh yeah, Koi. She remembered when the lair had found him, scared and abandoned, as a hatchling. It had taken him time to recover, and still he was wary towards other dragons as a result. We have something in common. We both have a learned wariness of others. She walked over to talk to him, unable to keep to herself any longer without going insane.
