Backstory
"And from that shooting star our leaders were born."

Origins
A streak of light screamed across the sleeping sky, illuminating for a second the stark outline of the Crystalspine Reaches against the galaxy-studded expanse of black. Tail arcing in a graceful trail, it singlemindedly drew ever closer to the pinkish crystalline formations. Then, with not so much as a crash, its iridescence collided with the mountains, nothing left but a few remnant sparkles. Two forms, invisible to the drowsing world, were flung across the land, each landing in the opposite side of the realm.

Of course, it was fated that they meet. For after all, it was written in the stars.

Meeting
The pink-scaled dragon fluttered open her eyes. Blue wings unfurling from where they lay folded against her form thrust open their full glory to the stirring world.

Who… am I?

She didn't know who she was. Or where she was. And definitely not where she came from. As she wandered throughout the night with a piercing pain in her head, other dragons whispered, looking at her with an uncomfortably curious gaze. She heard the rumours, that perhaps she was a supposed 'progenitor', a dragon who mysteriously appeared out from nowhere.

At first, it scared her.

Where had she come from, if she had been so unceremoniously thrown into the world?

But she accepted the fact, and decided to try and carve a niche out for herself in this world, realm of magical energies and boundless hope. As she gathered tree sap one day, a sudden tap on her shoulder caught her by surprise. In front of her stood a white, furry dragon, a Tundra, with grey wings and a friendly grin.

"Hi," he started nervously. "I'm Tundra." Then he abruptly paused. "Sorry. I know my name is, like, the worst and most uncreative name in this whole entire planet. But... yeah. I'm not a very good name picker. So... who are you?"

A small smile appeared on her snout, eyes flickering with amicable warmth.

"My name... My name's Starfall."

Present
"Let’s call this the Clan of Shining Stars."

Creation of the Clan
Starfall and Tundra started a new clan, the Clan of Shining Stars, honouring the magical land where they came into existence. Slowly, more dragons flocked to their clan, a place of solace from whatever troubles they had faced in the past, a place of new friendships and a new home where they would forever be welcome. It was their home now, and nothing could ever stop them from returning to where they truly belonged.

Current Status
Eventually, Starfall and Tundra became mates, all their children drawn to serve the Arcanist who watched over their clan. All except one, their eldest hatchling Goldenshore, who stayed in the clan and served as the mage who connected them to their elemental deity, along with another Pearlcatcher named Cherryfrost.

Now, Starfall manages the more administrative matters of the clan, her sharp intellect enabling her to multitask and lead the clan effectively. She is a welcoming and friendly Fae, although at times a little withdrawn and shy. However, her closest friends and family all testify that she is one of the most talkative dragons they have ever seen!

Her familiar is a Spirit of the Arcane called Bubblegum. With a naturally cheerful personality and boundless curiosity, Starfall is often forced to pull it out of various sticky situations. Nothing bad has happened to the pink squid... yet. Starfall hopes it can stay this way.

Starfall's faithful mate, the two have never been seen quarreling, or in any form of hostile disagreement for the matter of fact. Whatever differences in viewpoints are worked out calmly and soon resolved. Fun fact: Tundra is Starfall's definition of a fluffball.

The firstborn of Starfall and Tundra, Goldenshore is the only one of their progeny that chose to remain in the clan, and thus while training as a mage under Starfall, mother and daughter fostered a bond stronger than what could ever be imagined. A powerful magic user herself (though not as powerful as Starfall), Goldenshore aids Starfall in her duties with her potent powers.

One of the first to join the new clan and stay on, Imriel is one of Starfall's most trusted allies and friends. Imriel rants to Starfall about leadership worries, while Starfall finds ways to calm her so the purple Nocturne does not accidentally blast apart some relic again. The leader of the clan and the commander of the battle forces hold a deep measure of respect for each other, and often collaborate to ensure not just the fighters, but the other clan members as well, know both physical combat and elemental spells.

This snowy Coatl that came to them one night, bearing her own small clan and gifts of magic, turned out to be both a blessing and a curse. Eternally helpful and friendly, Crystal and her group quickly struck bonds of friendship with the rest of the clan, which would prove to be their downfall...
