Wilbur

Lightning mage, has been trying to teach Storm to harness the same ability, but Storm doesn't seem to have any magic that he can expend outwards yet. He has gone deaf from the thunder that accompanies the lightning he produces. He and Wisteria can often be seen having enthusiastic conversations with each other in sign language. Although both are technically capable of speaking, it is rather difficult for them to do and they both prefer to talk with their hands. Even though most of the clan knows sign language, their interpreting and signing can be a bit slow, so both Wilbur and Wisteria like being able to "talk" at their normal speed with each other.

Even though Wilbur's magic is weather-related, he absolutely hates getting wet. He says that the mark of a true weather mage is the ability to summon only what they mean to, and he limits his magic to lightning, not rain. But if he conjures up a particularly large storm, it can sometimes get out of his control and bring the rain with it, which irritates him for multiple reasons. His hatred of water extends beyond flying in the rain; he doesn't even like to go swimming or take baths. To keep clean, he takes dust baths like a chinchilla and grooms himself very carefully and thoroughly.
