B I O G R A P H Y

As a forth generation Night Warrior, Orpheus had heard the stories of Night Warriors past. He knew that his home clan was one of fighters: The kind of fighters who protected the weak with their natural strength. However, there was very slight miscalculation with Orphy's heritage: They were all big, strong, and amazing dragons... While he himself was a tiny, chattering Fae.

So it came as no surprise to him that he struggled to find a clan to protect. The Night Warrior legacy may have been grand and famous, but he was a small Fae with no combat experience. No one took his offer of service seriously. In fact, he was more often laughed at and teased than he was respected for the bloodline he carried. But Orphy also carried the pride and spirit of a Night Warrior: Rather than being disheartened, he threw himself headfirst into training. He was determined to find a Clan that needed a Night Warrior to help them and traveled far and wide in search of the perfect home.

His wanders brought him crossing paths with a Shadow Flight Fae named Contrast, just as "The Unknown" had struck the realm. The Unknown was an ailment that left dragons tired, useless, and without magic. The Shadow Flight was blamed for how The Unknown gradually turned the afflicted's eyes a blacky shade of purple... Contrast, as a Shadow Flight member, was outcast from her hunting party. Orpheus followed her as the pair were gradually chased back to the Shadow Domain, where Shadow Flight dragons spread The Unknown among one another.

Contrast and Orpheus did not contract The Unknown, however. During their banishment, they worked together to become strong as they chose survival over giving up. They came to lay a nest together, hatching many strong willed children, and carved out a survivable life in the unwanted Shadow Domain.

Their children, however, hatched with the pinkish eyes of the Arcane Flight. In a time where magic was being sapped like health, this struck the parents as odd. They wanted answers, so took off to the Arcane Domain.

Along the way, the family began splintering off. Their strong children were struck with a noble desire to bring magic to the dying Clans that the family passed. When the couple did settle in the Arcane Domain, they only had their son Orion with them.

Orpheus joined up with the Starglass Clan, which was still healthy, and hoped to find a way to keep The Unknown at bay... That wish, however, was not to be granted.
