Brood about death and hasten your demise.

Pact’s life wasn’t the easiest nor was it pleasant either. Born into the Broodmind, he was severed from his family; deemed unfit and casted off to die. However, the Spiral didn’t die and began to wander through the Plague lands until he found himself in the Viridian Labyrinth. While there, he was found by a dark red colored Ridgeback named Axa and sold into slavery until he was bought by a Pearlcatcher named Ursa, a Swamp Witch kind enough to spare his life and take him under her wing. The witch was curious on the fact that the Spiral was old enough to be an adult but still acted like a young hatchling and took the appearance of one. She did everything in her might and power to make sure he was comfortable while she studied him and performed tests, however the change of scenery didn’t do much for Pact’s mental state. He only grew worse. Ursa wondered why the Spiral was so gung-ho about finding his mother and when he couldn’t he was cause harm to himself. At first it was small, like scratch himself until he bleed or refusing to eat, however, his self harming tendencies started to tread downhill. He started to attempt suicide that would only result in failure, like his life is stuck in a never-ending curse and that curse was him to keep living. The Spiral’s behavior genuinely worried Ursa, the Pearlcatcher trying to keep him alive so she could find a way to help him and his illness yet he did not make things easy for her. He always seemed to slip through her tight defenses and stir up more trouble for himself. The Pearlcatcher still persisted on keeping him safe and sound even when he didn't want to. bio by Sacrilegious

10 attempted suicides. Not one of them was a success. Ursa sighed to herself when Pact was carried into her den by a passing dragon, apparently the Spiral tried to kill himself in the swamp waters. She held onto him to make sure he didn’t slip past her nose and run off to deities know where and doing deities know what. The Pearlcatcher’s heart ached for whatever was plaguing the mind of the hatchling, ached that no matter what she had done for him to be more comfortable with the new life he was provided with it was never enough for him. Every night he cried for his mother until he finally passed out and every day he found some new way to commit suicide despite failing every time. The Swamp Witch should’ve listen to the smuggler when she had the chance, to leave the forever hatchling alone because he was a wild one and cannot be tamed. But her curiosity won in the end. The fact that his body was still in a hatchling state despite him being an adult won her over, the fact that his mind was of an adult but his emotional state was as if he was a young dragon struggling through the states of “teenage angst”. She had to perform tests on this anomaly of a dragon, all while keeping them ethical so she didn’t worsen his already miserable mental state. Ursa didn’t dare to ask Pact what happened to him, not after the incident of him having a breakdown over a question of curiosity and by no means disrespect, It took her a week to clean all that blood that shed from his wounds. Whoever abandoned him must’ve also contributed in his poor mental health and suicidal tendencies. Damn this kid is messed up. She watched as the Spiral paced back and forth, limping while he did that because of a nasty injury he gave to himself a few days ago. She could hear him muttering about finding his mother and let out a long suffering sigh. From the looks of his eyes, he came from the Scarred Wasteland and for a Nature dragon like herself to trespass the borders to deliver a adult-child to his mother was a death sentence. Ursa wasn’t even sure that Pact had a mother. Through her magic based tests that she performed on his blood, no dragons appeared on his lineage. He was a child crafted by the dieties hands and sent off into the claws of those who find his egg, his temporary home. Yet she wasn’t stupid to tell him that, deities know what he would do with that information. Soon enough, the Spiral grew tired of his pacing and limped over to his bed, Ursa getting his sleep drough ready so he could sleep without his mind terrorizing him through it. Pact quickly drank the drought and promptly closed his eyes, probably to spite Ursa for not letting die? Possibly? Ursa never understood teen rebellion. lore by Sacrilegious
