Chance

Before joining the clan, Chance was a wee one lost and wandering with the somewhat-older Keeto, looking for safety and shelter when they got separated. The alphas, Donadar and Axolotl, found Chance in a bad way outside their lair and were quick to adopt him, offering much affection. They were tending their first nest and hoped that he would act as a marginally-older brother to the future hatchlings, but he was extremely reserved and skittish. They never learned his name and never gave him one, suspecting he had one already and that he would reveal it when he felt the time was right.

Then, one day, when Chance was a bit older, a stranger came to the lair, as though he were looking for something. Donadar and Axolotl were immediately protective of their nest, but to their surprise, Chance bounded right over to him and bowled him over with a hug. It was Keeto - worse for wear and exhausted, but finally having found the little dragon he'd been traveling with. After that day, Chance opened up and became much more friendly, and Keeto was allowed to join the clan.

As they grew up together, Chance and Keeto became more and more fond of each other until they officially became lovers. They are rarely seen without the other, and often go out adventuring with their clanmate Koi, who loves them like brothers. On such adventures (which go on behind the clan alphas' backs, usually when Chance and friends are supposed to be hatchling-sitting), Chance takes the role of the leader, though he can be reckless and may rush headlong into situations that are hard to get out of.
