Chancellor Auloniades

^{This Pearlcatcher-turned-Obelisk retains some Pearlcatcher features; like whiskers, and building a pearl, and also refusing to let go of his snobbish, noble and holier-than-thou personality. He is rather unlikable, but in the end he does his job well.}

Job

^{Auloniades is the vaultkeeper; the tax collecter, the financial advisor. Basically, anything involving economics falls under his eye. He comes in handy during diplomatic meetings with other clans, planning and balancing fair trade routes, and making sure the council don't make any decisions that would collapse the economy. In day-to-day life, he also manages the clan members' bank accounts.}

History

^{Coming from a noble family and being in the middle of many, many siblings, Auloniades knew he would have no chance in inheriting status from his family. So, like many of his other siblings, he set out to try and "conquer" other positions of power in other clans. Neverspine was already established at this point, and their council was young and new, and Auloniades managed to worm his way in somehow.

He quickly began to make enemies with the other council members. Being a typical Pearlcatcher, he believed himself superior to everyone else and saw a council job as a "Pearlcatcher's job". After some uncomfortable moves on the other Pearlcatcher in the council, Ash, and one Pearlcatcher supremacy comment too many, certain council members had had enough.

In secret, they forced a breed change scroll on him, changing him into the breed he hated most for being most opposite to the Pearlcatcher; the Snapper. No luxurious mane, stubby legs, useless wings and a stout body.

At first, he took the transformation quite badly, and some legal issues stirred up with the unethical forced transformation, but eventually Auloniades settled in his new form. Unfortunately, it did not change much of his personality. Come the arrival of the Obelisks, he took another breed change scroll, to become more like a mix between his old and new self.}

^{That's right, Neverspine's vault is actually a living, breathing being! Well, if you can call this thing alive, that is. The vault only allows Auloniades to remove money, to prevent any thieves from taking the savings of others. Auloniades feels pretty safe to leave the vault alone while he goes on meetings, but keeps it close while accounting or managing transactions.}
