Requiem

Once upon a time, a lonely light egg was found while gathering supplies. Yet the clan members were unsure what to think when the egg that cracked open and revealed a small fae girl with colors as dark as the night. Consulting the Oracles of the clan who refused to view her as some sort of bad omen, the little girl was swiftly accepted as a part of the clan.

Requiem, as they had named her, was adopted by a young couple who longed for children, yet had no luck so far. Her adoptive father, Sonata, sparked the wish of becoming part of a coliseum team in the small fae. Ever since, she has been training side by side with her adoptive mother Levana and their friend Layla to become stronger and learn how to survive in the wild. During weekly private lessons with the clan matriarch Shika, Requiem is slowly but surely becoming one of the strongest physical fighters the clan has to offer, which can be either seen as a jest to outsiders or can confuse them pretty badly.

Yet, like with everything else in this world, there is a reason behind it: Requiem had originally hoped to become a mage focused on healing spells, yet no matter how hard she practiced and how many elders tried to help her, she simply had no talent for this type of magic. She was, however, excelling at manipulative magic. After many tries and countless fails, Requiem eventually managed what no member of the clan had ever even considered: Using special refined magic to reinforce her physical strikes, Requiem could now compete with the strength of her adoptive parents who- needless to say- were incredibly proud of her.

When she is not on any fighting missions with her team, Requiem likes to spend her time with catching fireflies in the glass jars the other members will sometimes return with from gathering expeditions. Pretty much every single jar with the dancing firebugs within found in the lair was her work. Her adoptive mother Levana finds her obsession quite amusing, because Sonata and her are the only ones who know about Requiem´s true reasoning behind it: Ever since having been told a tale about fireflies being stars that fell off the sky, the fae girl was pretty much drawn to them.
