Chlora is what she appears to be: a workaholic with a chip on her shoulder. Growing up in Wind, she helped her dad run his delivery business, building up her muscle mass, flexibility, and stamina. What sparked her interest in coli fighting, though, was the night she knocked a robber out cold in the back of the van.

"It's mommy issues," she'll openly admit—her mother left her father shortly after Chlora's birth. The way her father still speaks so warmly of that traitor, her own smudgy memories of ruffled hair and cheek kisses ... Chlora's jaw clenches just thinking about it. Her profession—muscle for hire—puts that boiling rage to use. From the start, she's made her stance on violence clear: blunt force trauma will always be a last resort. With her vast knowledge of pressure points and complex evasive maneuvers, Chlora tires her targets into submission.

With regard to relationships, Chlora has been far less successful. Apart from her dad, there are few dragons she truly cares for. She loves her children—daughter Kirin and sons Theo and Yoyo—far more than their father, her on-again-off-again partner Phyll. So she says, anyway. It was an armed escort job that brought her to the Tabemono clan, Chlora insists through gritted teeth. How was she to know that Phyll had recently settled down here? So what if she came to the completely unrelated decision to stay ...

As gruff as she comes across, Chlora does have a playful side. She has an enigmatic quote, riddle, or idiom for every occasion, most of which no one's ever heard of. Does she make them up? Sure seems like it.
