Azurine is an introverted dragon who rarely smiles. Despite his often expressionless or indifferent demeanor, he is a gentle soul on the inside and spends much of his time assisting others. Due to an accident he refuses to talk about, he is nearly blind; the glasses he wears at all times are the sole reason he has sight at all. Because of this, Azurine does not venture too far from the lair. His scars are supposedly from the same accident that took his eyesight, but no one knows for sure. In his free time, Azurine paints out his memories and collects them neatly into his den. These paintings tend to be pictures of vast, detailed landscapes with intricate details impressive for a dragon with nearly no sight. His artwork is widely admired among the clan, even by the few artists that reside within it. Azurine's paintings are almost entirely in a melancholy blue and white, as his blindness dulls most colors in his vision besides blue; his colorblindness does not affect much of his daily life aside from this fact. Azurine's delicate physique and serene mien often give other dragons the impression that he is weak or unsuited to fighting; this is entirely untrue. Azurine is a formidable opponent in combat, and slices with his claws as gracefully as he paints. Many have mistaken Azurine for an easy target of theft; he has had to correct these assumptions more than once, the hard way. Within the clan, Azurine mostly keeps to himself unless approached. He is more of a listener than a talker; dragons come to him whenever they need to vent or go on a tirade of some sorts. Being the patient dragon he is, Azurine is the usual go-to whenever a dragon is frustrated or angry. Though one could talk to him for hours, it tends to be nearly impossible to coax a personal detail out of him. All that he ever talks about is how much his past burdens him, and as much as other dragons wish they could help him, whenever they question him further he retreats quietly into his den. |
