Everything blurring together until there is nothing but cold and pain and then...The pain was gone, white turned black, silence. Suddenly her body was light, almost felt like she was floating. Maybe she was. Certainly she could not tell, but...did it really matter? The pain was gone now, the blinding white faded into a calm black. She was save. But it did not last long. Or was it an eternity? She could not tell. Soon the black vanished and the white surrounded her once more. This time however, it was different. There was no pain, no burning ice on her skin, All there was left was a deep cold settled into her bones and an emptiness inside her chest. There was a thick layer of snow covering her, laying over her body like a blanket. Shaking it off she slowly rose. Everything was quiet around her, the once blinding, roaring white calmed down to a gentle breeze. Soft like a feather, almost caressing her skin, but she did not felt it. Ever since the pain faded, everything else faded as well. Only cold and emptiness stayed inside of her. And not even the thickest cape is able to warm her cold limbs and frosty bones. |

She tried to return to her former clan once, twice. Though her stays did not last long, as the others were wary of her and tried to avoid getting close to what they only referred to as 'evil spirit' in hushed voices, whenever Glacies was not around. So she left, abandoning what she once called a family and resumed to wandering the southern icefields on her own, hoping that maybe she would find out what exactly happened to her. Every once in a while she stayed at a clan, trying to get informations about what may have caused her 'change', however it never lasted for very long. By now, Glacies accepted her fate. Throughout her journey she learned a lot about the Icewarden and his flight, but never did she managed to lift the secret that is her existence. What she did discover however, was that there are other dragons with a similiar fate - spiritual beings, outcasts that somehow still exist even though they should have died. Those are now gathered in Clan Trochilidae; using the knowledge the nocturne gathered over time, Glacies now serves as their Ice Ambassador. |
