No one knows where she came from. No one knows where she goes...except maybe Exorsa, oddly enough, and that due to her unmistakable (to him, anyway) bioelectromagnetism. (Not that he'd call it that. So far, Exorsa has no explanation regarding how he can tell these things; he simply knows that he knows.)
As for her, yes, she came from the edges of the Shifting Expanse. This much, Plas doesn't mind eluding to, though she isn't likely to specifically state it. In part, this is because she is a member of a mirror pack, whose leader believes he is a ghost. Therefore, of course, only other ghosts can be members of his pack. While she only says her story halfheartedly, and doesn't really try to fool anyone who sees through her thin guise, she sticks with it if only for the sake of her leader.
As for her story, Plas claims to be the departed spirit of a thunderbolt, having spent her short but bursting life in a thundercloud that rolled southwest. Then, she struck the ground and her spirit manifested into its current (har har) form. As such, her clan leader claims that her "ectoplasm" has an extra punch of "plasma."
Speaking of him, she actually made her story up as a sarcastic reply to his own claims to be a ghost when they first met (and even her name isn't really the name she was originally given.) It was nighttime in the Snowsquall Tundra, and she was wandering the place, taking it all in. He seemed to come out of nowhere -- ghost or not, he's not bad at being stealthy -- and immediately began asking about her, having assumed she was a ghost like him. At first, Plas simply took him to be crazy -- and she was right -- but he was also a little exuberant and very friendly. Curious and a bit charmed by his innocent nature, she humored him and eventually warmed up to him. So, she claims to be a ghost for his sake and agreed to become his mate. And so, they became the matriarch and patriarch of their pack.
They are on very good terms with the Clan of Hiemisfatum. And, in fact, Plas has a clan name she is known as among them: Ressomnus.
