The Fugitive
"I don't want to talk about it."
As one of the older dragons of the clan, Midnight has been here the longest after the progenitor Aquamarine. A dragon shrouded in mystery, his refuses divulge any of his history. Especially his exile from Lightning, though his inability to use technology is a bit of running joke in the clan. He gets along with everyone in the clan except for Aki, who despises him for wasting his Lightning birthright. However, his reluctance to share personal information leads to difficulties in forming deeper bonds. Even Aquamarine, who recruited him, is nothing more than a casual acquaintance. There is only one dragon that Midnight trusts. Though he does not share Twilight's belief in soulmates, he adores her nonetheless. Their bond has grown stronger since the disappearance of Twilight's former best friend Nami. With the arrival of Gershwin, Twilight has risen out of her depression. Midnight is on friendly terms with Gershwin. He realizes that his mate needs her best friend as much as she needs him. Other than Oidche, he is the only dragon who knows the exact fate of Aquamarine's first mate and the reason for the subsequent banishment of the second. He is as reticent about these events as he is of his own exile. Lately, bounty hunters have come seeking an eerily similar skydancer... |
