Deep within a dark lair in the lands of Shadow, lives Aelin. He seems out of place in such sinister locations, with youthful, blushing apple cheeks. His purple hair flows playfully along his face, framing his large, bright eyes. One would give him not more than twelve years at first glance, but upon looking closer, the odd wanderer quickly concludes they are wrong, right as they find their grave, taking the heavy burden that is Aelin's secret with him.

He hides, doomed to an eternal youth by a priestess of the Arcanist, after attempting to take her life away. Jealousy, greed and a deep disrespect brought him here, and keep him hidden away, desperately experimenting with dark forms of magic to undo the curse laid upon him. Until then, his youthful appearance and location keep him away from harming any more of the innocent, like the priestess he preyed upon.
