Biography
While not officially a member of Hiemis' clan -- and, in fact, the head of his own pack -- much of his territory overlaps with Hiemisfatum's. Hiemis hasn't bothered to chase off the dragon, as he's found him to be relatively harmless. While a little eccentric, and on the dramatic side (he believes he's a ghost) he's never tried to hurt anyone. However, Hiemis did still give him a clan name. So, around Hiemis' clan, he is known as Idolon.
And so, the two groups have formed a sort of symbiosis: the larger clan guards their own borders and has a good stockpile of food, so they can provide fair shelter for the smaller pack if ever they need it. Meanwhile, the pack, simply by being self-proclaimed ghosts haunting the area, discourage other threats from entering the groups' borders. The pack may also naturally alert the clan, if any real threat is on its way. As Idolon's put it, he likes Hiemis, and will happily warn him if danger comes around, though he doubts it will.
As for where he came from? He changes his story slightly just about every time you ask him, sometimes saying that he's always lived -- or, "unlived" -- in the Snowsquall Tundra, and doesn't remember anything about his time alive...nor much of how he died. He's also claimed to be a nature spirit from far away, banished to this place. Either way, though he puts on a show of how scary and dead he is, he's actually a pretty friendly dragon with a lot of bluster and a screw or two loose.
For a long time, his pack consisted of himself, his mate, and their five daughters. Their first clutch only consisted of Willow, and their second and third clutches only contained two eggs each. (He blames the small number of eggs per clutch on being undead.) The lack of sons had him wondering if, perhaps, he was half-banshee, as contradictory as that line of thinking was. When their sixth daughter hatched in his and his mate's fourth clutch, they thought this trend would continue. Their seventh hatchling, however, was their first son, and closely following him was their eighth child, Kharon: their second son, and the mistiest Pack Ghost in existence at the time. And there would never be any to surpass him, either -- only match.
One day, Idolon started referring to himself as Idolon. When asked about it, he was puzzled, claiming to have referred to himself with that name for his entire existence.
(Putting this here because wow this is just- I am so honored.)
