Biography

Musician
Mate of Kirt and Rune

Chime shook as an icy blast hit her, pushing her down and sending her into a temporary panic. As soon as this gust came, it was gone, and the pearlcatcher was free to soar back up. She shook her head and grumbled, "I'm too far north for this kind of thing."
She should soon be nearing the Labyrinth, where she heard tell of a beautiful garden. Her mother had always said she was crazy- wanting to leave to protection of their stony home and venture off in search of beauty. "Nothing is more beautiful than the gemstones here," she said. Chime had laughed her off. The only pretty rock she knew of was her pearl, which, on second thought, wasn't actually a rock. But it had gotten her point across when she said it the first time.
She looped and swirled in the wind absentmindedly. She was almost on top of the gardens when she saw it, a large imperial flying her way. Chime quickly stopped in her place, managing somewhat well to resist the urge to fly forth and attack the dragon. "No," she mumbled to herself, "If this is going to be my new home, I can't attack one of it's residents as soon as I get here."
The imperial flew past her without incident, though they both shot rather nasty glares at the other, and Chime continued on. Soon she was over the gardens and looking for a lair. She didn't want to build her own- she didn't know if she could stand living by herself- but so far she was having trouble finding any dragons.
Tired and still partially stressed from her encounter with the imperial, she landed by a small creek. She sat and stared at the fishes swimming past and soon fell asleep.
She was nudged awake by a fluffy pink nose. "Hello," the tundra said with a smile.
Chime nearly dropped her pearl in shock. A dragon. Who probably lives here. "Do you have a lair around here?"

She plays all sorts of instruments, including, but not limited to: the harp, the flute, drums (though she isn't very good at these), and the vibraphone. She believes her music to be the best in all of this flight and supposedly left her previous one so that she could "share the beauty with you lesser beasts".
She refuses to do any work around the lair and will usually sit back and polish her scales while others gather food or clean up. Some of the other dragons don't understand why she's allowed to live there, but so long as there is no current leader, there is no one to give strength to these agitated mumblings.
Though even if there was a leader who was swayed by these complaints, there are enough dragons that get enjoyment out of her work that the clan would lose something if she were to leave.
