Biography
~The Vulcan~
From a very young age, Phlox had been taught to control his emotions. It's not that being emotional was a bad thing, but Phlox felt very deeply and, like the fire he was named for, was deeply passionate about even the smallest detail. As a young hatchling, his emotions were so manic that he could go from angry to happy to sad at an alarming rate. But, trained under an elder Ice dragon, Phlox learned to control his emotions, separating each one out logically and keeping the intensity of them at a distance.
This seeming lack of emotion is disturbing to some dragons, but Phlox's cool, logical air has been known to help calm disputes in his clan before. In the wake of the clan's first contact with The Vengeful, Phlox convinced Periphae that Pisces, the only Plague dragon in residence, had nothing to do with The Vengeful's presence in The Sea of a Thousand Currents, allowing Pisces to return to the clan he first called home.
Phlox's dedicated search for knowledge is a constant annoyance to Aghul. The two constantly butt heads, but, to Phlox's irritation, never get to the root of the problem. He can sense her hostility towards him and towards the flight of her birth, but she refuses to tell him why, and her pain colors their every interaction.
Phlox is troubled by her. He goes without sleep and without food trying to puzzle her out. For...despite how he keeps his emotions in check, he loves her deeply, and he knows she cannot truly be happy here, or anywhere, until she voices what troubles her.
In which I make an accidental fandragon. You're welcome, Trekkies.
