Rattles and hummings, the sound of ingenuity

Whirling, vivid red, almost like flames, twisting and darting about
doing this and that with utmost acuity…

Flashing red orbs of passion and enthusiasm inspected every tiny detail in the piece before him; though doubts were common in that mind, a mind so filled with ideas and knowledge and plans and brilliance.. he never let it get in the way of his goal. Not once. Not ever. Doubts were merely the attempts of… someone else, someone he didn’t know, who only wished to foil his brilliant plans, and he would never let them win!
Small, deft claws twirled and blurred as the last pieces fell into place, and suddenly..
A small pop.
Panic set in for a heartbeat, eyes widened and horror filled his chest.. Until his creation twitched, popped again, and a tiny hum started underneath the main section. Something felt off though, but he quickly spiralled into the air to an upper shelf, grabbed a small wire, and landed back to add the last piece. Watching gleefully, his newest success began moving as he had planned. Though a small, seemingly insignificant thing, he was proud of every single thing he did right.
Vibrating with excitement, he bounced slightly then leaped upwards with delight, twisting in circles through the air… until he felt his tail clip the edge of the table he was working at, causing the thing to shudder just enough to send his creation to the floor. The sound of parts hitting the stone and flying across the room made him cringe.
He forced a small smile. “Oops…”
