Cloven Cinders (name still being workshopped): A large agricultural town of dragons that live in the lush forests surrounding The Heart, using a particularly large tree (some could even call it rather behemoth sized) as the town center. Though still under the rule of the Empire and, by extension, Gigginox, they prefer to be independent and have been largely left to their own devices for many decades. Once Gigginox starts ruling, he makes many an effort to build relationships with the dragons there, particularly with Fulghum who appears to be the appointed leader of them all. At first, they want nothing to do with The Heart and Gigginox and wish to be left alone, though when Fulghum gains an interest in the young ruler the tunes start to change. It seems Fulghum recognizes Gigginox from when the Mirror was younger, and Gigginox seems to vaguely remember him as well until he remembers - remembers a grey Nature Wildclaw being dragged through the palace, pleading his case with his father behind closed doors. Fulghum was seeking asylum all those years ago, but from what? From who? With how many Nature dragons there are in the town, and how many are very loyal to the Wildclaw, it makes one wonder who he really is...especially since he carries a potent air of power and grace around him, despite his passive, breezy demeanor. The Cloven Cinders and The Heart start to mend relationships as the two leaders spark a tentative friendship...but what does Fulghum know about the history of this kingdom that Gigginox doesn't? And what history of his own does he hide?

Current lore:
An Elder of the Nature Flight, left his home flight for as of yet undisclosed reasons. The Council of Roots wants him brought back to Nature through any means necessary, though he has seeked asylum in the the Umberforge Empire and is currently under their protection.
- Stole the amulet he wears, it contains very powerful Nature magic...but also something sinister slithering underneath

Lore brainstorm/dump (not canon yet):
- Reason he left due to a sort of zombie thing? Nature magic gone too far, reanimating corpses with plant life etc? Or killing dragons with plants.
- A dragon unknowingly ate seeds with food, and nature magic caused the seeds to grow rapidly, bursting from the dragon and killing them; like above quote. But the Nature magic keeps them somewhat sentient? Hmm...that could be the catalyst for why Fulghum fled actually, since he stole the amulet and took it with him, maybe the other Elders were using it to amplify powers and do awful things to dragons like that, getting ready for a war with Plague?

Amulet brainstorming:
- Pure elemental energy, caught and coalesced into a single gemstone. So powerful that the surroundings become altered due to the intense magic being exuded.
- Have fallen into myth, locked away in legends and hidden in fantastical stories. In reality, they were locked away by the deity who created them, but over the ages were found one by one and either treated as a cursed object or a blessed artifact of great power. However, they tend to go missing soon after they are found, hidden away once more by a deity who no longer remembers their name.
- Most dragons who try to use the amulets are destroyed by the magic in the gem, either unable to control the elemental magic or becoming aged and decayed in seconds. This can lead to some horrific situations, such as what Fulghum's clan was trying to accomplish...trying to find a dragon who could wield the Nature amulet without decaying and being kept alive only through the roots and leaves weaving through your bones.
